thread it won't matter how you kill it as they all do

from under the thread. The app itself is the only thing that can force the
thread to exit gracefully.

If kill.exe pskill.exe don't work, I don't know what will. Is it a
single-DC environment? If not, force a replication and bounce it --
shouldn't be a problem.
