how can a person run a perl app from the command line without having to
type: 'perl foo.pl'. i'd like to simply be able to type 'foo.pl' and have

are the basic steps in accomplishing it.
# 'nmake' is needed. Its a free download from MS.
# 'cl.exe' is needed. The free download of the .Net Framework includes this
compiler.
