The main problem with your code, in addition to Jusin's point about file
handle naming, is with the line:

Thank you very much indeed for your suggestion. First I changed the file naming
as you pointed out (In for initial input).
The code works, except for one small snag, which is really due to me. The code
with your suggestion below.
