A while back, I was working on trying to upload a PDF file for a website I do free for my son's school. The deal right now is that the lunch room lady sends me a pdf file of the school's bi-weekly lunch menu and I ftp it over to the website. I was wanting to "cut out the middle man" or woman, me, and have the lunch room lady upload the file directly to a specific folder, with the understanding that she had to call it the same thing each time she uploaded. I never got it to work and then got too busy with my "paying job" to think about it anymore. Now I am at home recovering from major surgery, am starting to feel like working on something again, feel like my brain needs some exercise, and thought I'd try to tackle this upload issue again.
It's been 5-6 months since I worked on this and from what I can remember, the file name would show up on the server, but it would have 0 KB as the size, i.e. the file was empty. I stayed at this point for about a week, then I had to drop it for the real work. Has anyone out there had any experience with this or could anyone give me some direction. My mind is still a bit cloudy from the 4-hour surgery, anesthesia, and pain meds, so speak as though you were speaking to a slow learner.
