hi list, sorry for posting here, couldn't find a better list ;-)
i was just wondering why the ActiveState-project "pyperl" is no longer maintained? it runs with python-2.3.4 and perl 5.6.1 maximum*. i cannot see a reason for that, because i think it rules! it's so great to work with perl objects in python, especially if you're new to python and if you don't want to port your whole code! does anyone know more about this? * if you try to install pyperl-1.0.1 under higher versions of perl/python, the installation will work, but as soon as you " import perl ", you will get the famous ImportError: " perl2.so not found ", so don't do it! cheers, nick _______________________________________________ ActivePython mailing list ActivePython@listserv.ActiveState.com To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs Other options: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/listinfo/ActivePython
