Currently I do regular TSM ncremental backups of my servers every night. I
was wondering is there any reason I should start creating Backup Sets. I
still have the ability to restore my server to its last backed up state if
it were to fail. Therefore I don't see much reason for doing Backup Sets

sched process and start it again, this will refresh
the IP address to the TSM Server.

I'm not sure what the problem is. I just downloaded the file (it's
IP21930.tar.Z, not IP21930.tar), and used tar to unzip/untar the file:
tar -z -xvf IP21930.tar.Z
I did this on a Windows system using GNU tar, so I do not see why this
would not work on HP-UX.
IP21930.tar.Z is 20,362,089 bytes.
Hven't tried this particular tar file but I have recently installed the
client for v11.00 HO and had no trouble.

We run TSM on an AIX 4.3.3 box, using 9840 drives in a 9710 library driven
by ACSLS.
We are not sharing the robot with any other application, but I think the
setup will be the same.
The only thing that passes through ACSLS is robotic commands, not data.

I've had some nodes I just couldn't delete...
I'd delete filespace * and it would tell me there was nothing to delete...
I'd do a remove node but it would tell me references still existed...
I just did a "q backupset" and what do you know !
