Hi list, I've got a client who is working with TSM the following way: They work with an autoloader. They wanted to have a 2 week tape cycle with even and uneven weeks and a 2 week period for keeping the tapes. What I did was create 2 sets of tapes(4 tapes eacht) and 2 diskpools(even and uneven)

Moses, If you are using the TSM GUI, select View then toggle select Display active/inactive (if in command mode, add -inact) to see the previous generations of your backup files. Select Display active files only to set option as before. I have TSM client version 5.1.6 and it should be the same

I would use the Move node command to move the data from the original Copypool to the new copy pool. that way you will not lose any of the existing data for the nodes you want on the new copy pool. As far as I know, there is no way to delete just the copy pool version of data. At least not an easy

To shed more light on this situation, it looks like it depends on whether or not you do a pkgadd with the '-R' option (which we do). The license check is only looking for the license file (status.dat) in the BASEDIR (default is /opt) directory. Can't change either the checkinstall file or the

Web admin client won't load

Hi Bill, Where is your status.dat file? I suspect that since you used the default install first, it is in /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/license - since that is where the preinstall file looks for it. I use pretty much the same command, although without the -a option. What do you have in your admin file?
