I know this is a little late, but here is what we did. I changed from copying my primary pool from 9840's to 3592. I then let attrition whittle down the 9840 pool until such time as I thought the copy might get done in a reasonable amount of time, then did a copy and deleted the rest of the 9840

The file size that I tested was 500MB. While the backup is running at 11 MB/sec I used FTP to send another large file down the same pipes and it transfered at 49 MB/sec. So I know that the pipes between server and client will handle the load. I have adjusted the TCPWINDOWSIZE to 64 on the serv

Well, consider if your "corporate environment" is 400 machines spread over 15 buildings. If you decide you want to EXCLUDE (i.e., not back up) C:\Windows\TEMP\...\*, you have to visit/touch all 400 machines somehow to update their client option files. If you put that exlude in a client option set
