that you can encrypt with? You can COMPRESS with all of them...
because it is done in the TSM API... which the "TDPs" use.
But, the TSM API does NOT support encryption quite yet. However...
watch this space... because this is a known
If you are trying to define a client schedule where the OPTIONS includes
the client -OPTFILE option, then that is not valid. -OPTFILE is valid only
when launching the client, i.e. "dsmc -optfile=dsm.opt.alt"

I know this is a little late, but here is what we did. I changed from
copying my primary pool from 9840's to 3592. I then let attrition
whittle down the 9840 pool until such time as I thought the copy might
get done in a reasonable amount of time, then did a copy and deleted the
rest of the 9840
It probably depends a lot on the history of your particular site. As
Wanda mentioned, and I would agree, it's much easier to maintain your
option-sets from one place (the server). In our case, we just got
installed earlier this year, so it was almost a no-brainer to use server
side cloptsets. Fo

The file size that I tested was 500MB. While the backup is running at 11 MB/sec I
used FTP to send another large file down the same pipes and it transfered at 49
MB/sec. So I know that the pipes between server and client will handle the load.

I know that TSM 5.2 is supported on Win2003, but I've never talked to anyone who has

patch from microsoft we needed to get everything working OK. Take a look

validated was to delete the (already) stored passwords from the client. This can be
made by deleting all files located under /etc/security/adsm.
