Hi,
What I used when I tested to do a restore to a different RAID controller
was to use a slip streamed w2k3 installation CD where all HP drivers
were included. I had no problems and it should work if you follow the
steps in the ASR Redbook.
HP DL380 G3, 5i Plus and 5312 controler.
Backup 5i
I've tested all the options. I really like the on-line image backup and the
off-line image restore with WinPE. Note if you se a Windows 2003 built WinPE
cd you must be at TSM client V5.3.0.5 or later.

Actually with both Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 you can create what is like a
mount point in Unix land. Search MS's site for "junction point" OR "mount
point".

Try this sql (change times to suit)
SELECT HL_NAME,LL_NAME FROM BACKUPS -
WHERE NODE_NAME='YOURNODENAME -
AND BACKUP_DATE BETWEEN '2005-06-14 01:30' AND '2005-05-10 10:30'

We've tested BMR with TSM and ASR on Win2003 server, works fine.
It's pretty cool, because TSM backs up the ASR info anytime you do a
regular backup. You don't need to have any CD's or floppies created in

Just follow the instructions in the TSM cl

Hi Bill
1. Separating it into multiple TSM nodes, for example one node per
filespace
2. Using the virtual mount point option
Both theese options should decrease the time TSM spends on inspecting the
filespaces.

Hi Debbie!
The first thing I would do is upgrade both the server and the client to more
recent levels. Especially the server is rather old. There are several
performance fixes since 5.1.1. The most current 5.1 level is 5.1.10.
Kindest regards,

Solved: I was running the upgrade from a web browser on the Windoze TSM

No, adding "-subdir=yes" won't help with regard to getting the file space

opposed to only backing up the root of the drive.
