I was at a client site today doing a TSM implementation and we installed the
TSM 5.3.0.8 client followed by the 5.3 TDP Domino
agent. Running the domdsmc I was able to changeadsmpwd, query adsm, query
domino and actually do some selective backups. I then went
into the DSMC client and ran a QUERY

Without knowing your platform or software levels, we can't specifically
advise on performance issues.
The TDP manual has a topic on Performance.

Debbie,
If you have thousands of volumes I can see that this is going to create
a (or multiple) very large temporary table space which of course is
going to consume all remaining space in the TSM DB. The reason this is
happening is that you are comparing two different tables, i.e. volumes

The above error message suggests that you are trying to start, either
explicitly or through automatic service startup, the remote client agent,
which is not allowed. The remote client agent is started when ne

I too am looking for any way to increase performance.
We have similar issues. We are now backing up 24-Domino servers. The
backups run non-stop, almost 24/7.

Yeah, I haven't found the TSM integrated features of SYSBACK very
useful.
We do cron scheduled SYSBACKS to a common area on the sysback server,
then do a TSM scheduled archive delete of the area.
We stagger our sysbacks for our nodes over the days of the week to get
all of them done weekly.

hi,
what do you mean it doesnt work ?
you have to give us some clues, error messages and so on ...
i'm doing over 60 sysbacks to TSM via crontab scripts

Hi,
ITSM has more problems with large # of files then with total back-up
size. How many files are there to inspect (normal inc) and back-up
(selective)?

Hello Everyone!
I am not very familiar with TDP for Domino, but I was wondering if anyone
has ever seen such poor performance/transfer rates? What could I possibly
look at to tune these clients? Any suggestions are appreciated!!!

Dear all,
I manage to get OS backup via sysback done successfully for the first
time(manually using sysback). However when I try to arrange a schedule to
backup a sysback script, it doesn't work.
Is there any recommended advice to backup the OS using TSM scheduler
rather than cron job? Any good pr
