Karel,
How do you deal with the fact that the mount point name changes when the
cluster groups moves from one node to another? We were thinking about having
two seperate dsm.opt files. Each would have the domain statments that list the
mount point names based on the server name. Then we were
Client v 5.3.0 on Windows 2003 server. Is there a bug out there (that I
can't find so far) that speaks to number of objects reported as being

I know for a fact that more than 979 objects were backed up...
Sorry for any redundancy on this question.

What happens during a copy is that any data that has not been copied is
copied. So, for your example, the second copy on Tuesday morning will
copy all files that have changed since the copy ran on Monday. Think of
it more as a sync up than an incremental. For example, if a copy pool

Just setup the Storage Agents as you normally would. The only exception is
that you create the paths on the TSM Library Manager. Then the TSM Library
Client will pass the mount requests to the Library Manager without any
special configuration.

Once I run a delete filespace node_name filespacename t=a command. The

The only way I would get that data back would be in a TSM db

Thanks for your response, sounds like I'm having a similar problem to
what you experienced. The reclamation job isn't cross device classes
though. I guess the other LTO3 drive was in use by an LTO2 process which
could be confusing it.

Not really. First, the backup is strongly suggested, but not required.
Second, Gen 2 drives can read and write Gen 1 tape. I have 16 Gen 2

Hi David
As I put in my post, I've checked that the paths are correct and online.
Both drive34 and drive 35 have been used today by other processes.
I've checked they are definitely empty with the 3584 web interface.
There are no entries in the AIX errpt for them.

Look VERY closely at the volume serial numbers.
The UD volumes that are less than the 500 series have a zero '0' in the
third position. Ie UD0499.
The UD volumes that are in the 500 series have an oh 'O' in the the
third position. Ie UDO500.
Guess you have two choices. Correct the labels or use

Put all the tapes physically to read only, to ensure there is no
