Hi list,
I am getting the following error when trying to restore a particular tablespace

I haven't found any docs on backing up Linux Clusters. I've done W2K and
Netware
Clusters with no problem per docs.
New system we have is: RHEL 4 AS u3; Red Hat Cluster Suite 4; GFS 6.1.
Cluster disks are Fibre connected to IBM DS8100 and DS4800.

I have recently added a Virtual Tape Library to my TSM 5.2.6 Windows server.
And have noticed that TSM starts reclamation differently for the Primary storage
pools on the VTL than it does for the Primary Storage pools on my tape library.

Rainer,
You need to make TSM client prompt you for encryption key password on the
next backup after you changed the hostname. The only way to do this is to
rename/remove the existing TSM.PWD file (this is the file where TSM client
stores its passwords). You should rename this file rather than dele

There's no way to produce a by-user space consumption report.
TSM maintains aggregate statistics by Node, but not Owner;
and you can't get file sizes from the server in order to sum
for a total.
Note also that the Filespaces table contains client file system

Hi !
I have done a similar test before.
If you want, you can install the actual packages that you have 5.2.6.7 on the
test machines
You can create volumes with dsmfmt command for log and db. You will need the
same or more space for the TSM database.
Then you must format those volumes using t

It looks like you do not have a valid dsmserv.dsk file. This is the location
dsmserv looks to to find out where its db and log files are. Look at your
existing dsmserv.dsk file to see the syntax.

TSM 5.3.1 on win2K server. Isn't there a way to get the total data (MB)
used by a username on all of the filespaces in a database? I'm thiking
something like:
select sum(capacity) filespace * where username=dudeman
But that doesn't work because there is no username flag in filepsace
table. Must
Hi !
I'm a TSM newbie and going to migrate our TSM server (AIX) from level
5.2.7.3 up to 5.3.3.
Before that I'll test the upgrade (especially database upgrade) using a copy
of our existing database (160GB). I copied the db and log volumes (only 1st
copy) from our halted server to another (test) m
Thanks!
The path was off-line...
I brought the path to the drive on-line.
TSM took awhile but it used the drive last night successfully
Thanks to all for responding so quickly!
