Whenever I hear about long connection times, the first thing I think of is
a DNS issue...have you checked your forward/reverse lookups for the
affected hosts?

There is no next storagepool at this point, so it would be impossible for it to
migrate.

Ok, some additional information.
If i repeatedly reclaim or move/data the volume, more data gets moved. The
next nodes amount of data gets moved. The disks are fine, no errors, no
destroyed volumes, no corruption that I can see. It just seems that TSM thinks
it is done and ends the reclamati

Well, I don't know how you're making onsite primary disk storage
pools offsite. There seem to remain details missing from your
conveyed configuration. But, moving on...
A reclamation of offsite-marked tapes occurs through the utilization
of onsite data, generically speaking. The only conventio

Andrew,
Are you absolutely SURE that some data did not get migrated to tape? It
looks like that's what happened... maybe do some "q content" commands on
the disk pool, or select from volumeusage for one of the nodes that did not
complete...

Richard,
I think it was obvious, but maybe it wasn't. People don't normally make their
onsite disk pools into offsite status. When my copypool tapes get full, I mark
them offsite so that reclamation will read the disk pool, not do reclamation
tape to tape. But, this is what is not working.

This has been discussed before. If TSM mirroring and the error is a tsm error

This sounds like a dns reverse-lookup issue. AIX ftp and telnet, as far
as I can tell, default to doing a reverse lookup on your IP address to
get the host name and then a normal lookup to see if the original IP
address is returned.
I've run into this when the reverse lookup data isn't maintained

Hi all,
Why to use TSM Mirror function for DB and RLOG if this can be supplied by

Using TSM mirror as far as I know could improve server performance...
But is it recommended to have the two phylosophies HW RAID and TSM mirror ¿? Or
only one of them...

Hi
I have a problem on Linux -OS: Red Hat release 3 update 8. The TSM

When we do an strace on the process it is making no system calls.
However it is sitting at 25% CPU- 1 whole CPU.
A manual dsmc has the same issue, and takes ages to q

Hi Murugan!
1) Yes, you can install it on all clients. I would use the latest
version though: 5.3.4.0.
2) Yes, this is possible and documented in the IBM Redbook "Backing Up
DB2 Using IBM Tivoli Storage Manager"
