Hi,
I just configured our TSM server (5.4.1.2 on AIX) to backup our two
NetApp filers. I have a few question regarding the NDMP backups:
- How do I have to define the backup copygroup? I want to keep the full
backup and two differentials. Is it correct to set the option
verexists=2? After the
Hi all,
Anyone seen this?
Every evening an incremental backup is made to devclass=fileclass which
goes to /tsm/tmpdb/.
If I look in the volhist, the entry looks like this;

Hi
I try to backup a snapshot mounted on a Proxy server,

Per the TSM 5.4 Admin reference: If you backup up at an attached library you

Hello,
Is there a command that list all the servers with all their

I understand that 'q copygroup' give me a list of all the PO,

Thanks.

Dirk,
If the backup/achive client is to the server, then the copy pool needs to be

Data can be backed up only to copy storage pools that have the NATIVE data

Hi Dirk,
the backup node admin command has a mgmtclas parameter. You could
put the full backups to a separate mgmtclass which keeps it long enough.
For scheduling fulls I suggest you prefix the vfs mapping name with some
indicator of a cycle like cycle01/filespace. the a script could check

Avy,
I am fairly new to TSM (and this list) but I recently had a similar
request here asking for nodes, domains, and retention. This is a modified
version of the select statement:
SELECT aa.node_name, aa.schedule_name, bu.domain_name, bu.retextra,
bu.retonly, bu.domain_name, bu.set_name,
Thank you Richard and Humberto. The list gives me a whole view of all the
clients which are bound to the mgmt class or copygroup and makes it easier
to reference. Thanks again...(o:

One of our groups has been consolidating a bunch of Netware file/print
servers into two Windows clusters. On one of these, backups were
running 7-8 hours, backing up around 4000 objects but inspecting over
5 million. The admin implemented journalling over the weekend and we
