I need a init.d startup script for fedora

2008-06-23 Thread Erwin Zavala
I am backing up 2 fedora tsm nodes (on the same host) that use two separate opt files. The nodes have already been associated with two different schedule. Does anyone have a startup script to automate the scheduler ?? On Mon, Jun 23, 2008 at 2:35 PM, Bell, Charles (Chip) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wr

Well, if the information is simply not available, can someone point me to a document saying so? Our brilliant auditors are requiring proof one way or another in our DR documentation. -Original Message- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Wanda Prather Sent:

This is what we use: two P550's as our TSM servers. (Disk: DS4800's & Tape: 3584's (four LTO4 drives & 600 slots) per datacenter.) We have around 400 nodes total, 2-3 TB change per night, 5 policy domains. We have two datacenters - one TSM server per datacenter. We "inherited" two P520's fro

When you use DRM to do vaulting, you should stop running the del volhist for dbb tapes. (You can continue to do del volhist for other types of tapes.) That's a key point that is often missed about DRM. DRM takes care of the DBB deleting when you use DRM for vaulting. Enter: Q DRMSTATUS Youle se

The list has decided to stop sending me emails for some reason. Must find out why. Anyway, I do have an administrative schedule running del volhist todate=today-5 type=dbb Since we only recover Vault Retrieve tapes once every 7 days, I think that may be it. I've increased to Volhist timeout to

2008-06-23 Thread Larry Clark
Your choice of P-550/570 is environment dependent. If you want to dedicate a physical server to TSM then perhaps a P-550 is a better choice. If overall costs are a concern, including footprint and electrical, the a P-570 with multiple CEC's combined into a single frame is the better choice. Larry

The p550's work well. They have better I/O expansion than the p520 and are less expensive that the p570. When you are specing out your system, keep in mind the throughput of your tape drives and add I/O if your budget allows. The p550 also makes it easier to physically relocate a server where wi

Nancy, We are just beginning to think about replacing the older of our two TSM servers. I am thinking that a p6 570 may be overkill, but we are looking at a p6 550 as it has a bit more head room than the 520 (in case we need it). ..Paul At 06:21 PM 6/16/2008, Nancy R. Brizuela wrote: I'm sorr
