SV: Exchange 2007

2008-07-29 Thread Christian Svensson
You are correct Rich, What TDP does is only tell Exchange that the backup is done successfully and Exchange can clean the logs when it need it. TSM for Mail has nothing to do with the logs anymore as it was before. Thanks Christian Från: ADSM: Dist Stor M

As some of the listers have already mentioned... Data Protection for Exchange tells the Exchange Server that the full (or incremental) backup was successful and that it is now safe to truncate the logs. The actual log files get physically deleted by the Exchange Server, not Data Protection for Exc

Check the IBM Tape Device Drivers Installation and User's Guide and read about Control Path Failover and Data Path Failover. Or have you "SAN guy" re-zone so that the tape drives are split across the 2 HBA's. Put 2 LTO4's per HBA. Spread the load. The device driver is a failover driver, not load ba

I have mounted three tsm servers with library sharing, using ACSLS, no EDT. Also it works great !! In this case I was using LTO4 drives, but TSM supports T10K. You will have to configure TSM to work with ACSLS. The SL8500 only can be managed with an ACSLS server. Regards, Ibán.- - Mensaje

Agreed; you are a perfect candidate for ALMS. It makes the 3500 behave more like a 3494 - it queues ejects. If the I/O station is full, the next ejects land in the "virtual" I/O slots; as soon as ops clears the physical I/O slots, the library will push out the next 16 (or 32) that are queued. You
