If a VTL is setup to emulate a 3584, will TSM have problems if the volume
count in the library is higher than a real 3584 can hold? (More than 4096
volumes for example.)

excluded from any VMware snapshots as well.

I did something like this some time ago. I had the Vmware admin set the
database disks as "Independent", as this type of disk is not included in the
VCB snapshots.
I used a script to interface with vcbmounter but I think the BACKUP VM command
would work as well.

Move drm for bringing back volumes creates a command file which is essentially
a macro containing the commands you would like to be executed on the return of
a volume.
Withihn this command is substituted the volume name.
