Hi Chris, During backup all excluded files and folders will be marked as inactive as if the folder is deleted, so if you work with multiple include/exclude lists for the same nodename, the whole progressive incremental part will be lost and you have to check if this is not a problem in the policy

Your goal to separately preserve copies of database files would be most readily accomplished via the TSM Archive function, which avoids all the exclude/expire complications of Backup. Richard Sims
