Basic select help

2016-08-22 Thread Shawn Drew
I am trying to get a list of nodes that have no filespaces and I am getting stuck on what seems to be a very basic select statement. Can someone tell me where I am going wrong? The way I understand it, the select should at least show the node I just created with no filespaces. tsm: TSM1500>re

I bled hard and installed 7.1.5 while the paint was wet. Compression was available on AIX concurrently with all other releases. WAN acceleration, on the other hand, is not. Booo! __ Matthew McGeary Senior Technical Specialist - Infrastructure PotashCorp T: (306) 933-8921

Bob, Thanks for the info, I had not ran across that tech note. I could see where it may be a characteristic of the MS component install and not the SP client, but minimally during a manual install it would be nice to have a message box or something warning of the potential unprompted restart. I

To be clear... Server-side inline compression shipped in 7.1.5 (March) however the "client-side" LZ4 compression piece of this shipped in 7.1.6 (June). Del "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" wrote on 08/22/2016 10:11:08 AM: > From: David Ehresman

I can assure you that compression was NOT part of the earlier releases on 7.1.5 on AIX. I had to painfully tear down a system we were trying to convert to because compression was not included in the early 7.1.5 releases and dedup alone was not meeting saving expectations. David -Original

Minor correction. Inline compression for container pools was added in March in 7.1.5. IBM Spectrum Protect 7.1.5 - Inline compression: - Performed in-line after deduplication to provide additional storage savings - Negligible impact on resources – uses latest and most efficient compression alg

At the most recent levels of TSM, it both dedups and compresses but make sure you are at a level that does both. There was a level that only did dedup but not compression. David -Original Message- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU] On Behalf Of Rhodes, Richard

I would be pleased if IBM set as a design goal that no install or upgrade of TSM client software should require a reboot. Reboot was not needed before 6.3, no reason it should be now. Hans Chr. On Sat, Aug 20, 2016 at 11:24 AM, Erwann SIMON wrote: > Hello, > > I encoutered the exact same proble
