I could see oracle SPARC support API v8.1 but BA client not released for v8.1.
What is the purpose of releasing API support for v8.1 without BA client ?
Means no BA client backup supported but still support TDP for oracle ? TDP also
require BA client to install.

Yes, the API is still supported since Spectrum Protect for Databases -
Data Protection for Oracle is supported with version 8.1. I believe the
installation only installs the API parts.

Tape support for Ubuntu is supported by the IBM Spectrum Protect server as
of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS ONLY for both Linux on x86_64 and Linux on POWER LE.
Currently Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is not supported at all (neither for disk only
environments nor tape).

I received the information, that APAR IT36573 is NOT included in 8.1.12.
It is planned to include that APAR in 8.1.12.100 ... so you have to request an
eFix.
