First of all do you have IBM support? If so, 1-800-IBM-SERV tell them
level 1.
If not,
One option: If the server totally does not start up, and you know 100%
surly, you have a valid database backup
Reinstall the TSM server and drivers, start the server with the default
values, recreate
Regarding NDMP GUI,
Do you have a TOC created? In order to use the GUI you need to make
sure that the TOC is created and used when you perform the backups.
With a TOC you can technically use any client's GUI to access the NAS
device and see the files.
Does the device successfully complete backup

Using the VMware Consolidated backup you can do file level backups of
windows machines and system backups of other clients. There is
documentation on the VMware website about how to do this.

Since this is a Windows Client, I would go into the the GUI BAClient and
then go to Edit>Preferences
Then under the Backup tab, uncheck the box Backup All Local File
Systems.
Then select only the file systems that you want to backup.

When reclaiming our offsite tapes I receive the folloing error for only
one of our copypools. The other two copypools have no problems
reclaiming. I am thinking there are some files that have vanished that
it is looking for. Maybe some files that did not get migrated to tape.

We had that same initial problem with missing schedules, and here is
what we found and did
First, because the backups were scheduled at the same time, from
different policy domains, when our diskpools filled up, it would mount a

One thing that you can do which might take a while is to query the
content of the volumes for each primary storage pool volume.
q content {volumename} copied=no
That will display a list of files that were not copied.
In addition you can use the q occupancy command.

The library is connected via fiber channel hba. We have installed the
engineering release of the driver, because that is the only c
