I would recommend use only one library manager. This simplifies lots of
headache in future. I am having one 3584 tape library with 18 LTO2 and 6
LTO4 under same library manager and it works like charm.
One library manager means one volume history which is lot easier to
maintain.

Some time read/writes error can be due to bad drives. I have seen with
LTO2 drives. Once i replace them all look good.

Start backing to LTO4 pool , when you done complete backup to LTO4 ,
DELETE LTO2 copy pool.

library from library clients ( AUIDT LIBRARY LIBRARYNAME CHECKL=BARCODE
). Make sure no tapes mounted on library clients. This processes tells

It really depends on type of data. I have seen numerous files with
smaller in size occupy more space on tape so you might notice even
100Gig data occupy LTO2 ( 200gIG ) and volume will be full. If you
backing up huge single file then LTO2 could occupy 1TB. So it depends
purely on type of data.

2). Now run your checkin but make sure make it private.
