Hi All,
I am looking at putting in a solution for data path failover to
my tape drives. I have HP LTO6 Ultrium drives which support dual port failover.
I am comfortable that basic DPF using NPort and WWN address failover would work
to protect the drive and the far switches/GBICs
Hi, Sorry David I don't understand the VG's are cheap statement.
Your Volume groups are made up of 1 or more hdisks provided locally or from the
SAN.
I've split my VG's into 5 types of VGs
Dbvg <- Databases
Logvg<-Logs
Instvg <-Instance
Bkvg<- DB Backup
Stgvg <- Disk storage

Hi,
I have an ACSLS setup with a client and a library manager and get mount
failures, but the tape actually mounts. If you look at the activity log for the
volume below you can see this. It seems like it is not waiting long enough for
an acknowledgement back to the Library manager. Is ther
Hi,
I am installing new systems and traditionally would have converted my

I want to take all but 4 drives offline. So I did the following:

Lindy,
If you need to back up your mksysb's into TSM, I suggest that you
run a mksysb to a local filesystem and then backup the file to TSM.

Last year I went through a pricing exercise at another customer of mine. In
the end the cost of the licenses were worked out on a point basis supplied
by our Tivoli Salesman. Basically, we ended up putting categorising each
client based on the type of Platform. i.e. Large Systems, UNIX Boxes (Inc
Hi,
Has anybody worked on Tivoli monitoring the scheduler on the client
node? Any practical help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I have been looking at the documentation for scripting through TSM and
it isnt that helpful. Does anyone know where I can get some
more info on this subject. I have also looked at the sample scripts. One
of the questions in my mind is can I do a `sleep` before continuing
with a loop.
