Please help. I'm probably doing something obviously wrong, but I
can't see it. Sorry this is so long, I've tried to include all
relevant information. Here's what happens when I try to backup node

backup files on another server and then use TSM to backup those files.
If I'm wrong about any of this, I'm sure that someone will let me know. *8^)

I would like to ask for some expert opinions from this group. We use MiraPoint's
e-mail appliance for our student e-mail. We would like to back it up using ITSM.
MiraPoint has said that it intends to qualify with TSM. They want us to push
IBM/Tivoli for 3-way NDMP support in TSM. I have no idea

We have a need to restore a database, the version we need was backed up
with a pre version 2 MSQL TDP. The node has since been converted to
version 2.2.1. The 2.2.1 version can not of course even "see" the
version we need to restore. When we try to restore using the older
version, it gets the ANR0
Never mind the messages were from a scheduled backup attempt that
occurred when we were trying the restore. The restore did hang though
with a Processing end of TSM data please wait message. We're working on
that now. Sorry to bother everyone.

We have a moderately large SQL database that we are trying to restore
using the older level 1 client onto a SQL 2000 database. We did
successfully restore a smaller database, but the larger one starts off,
transfers about 2048 bytes then the message "Processing end of TSM data.
Please wait." appea
Unfortunately no, we have been searching and can not find in the HIPAA documentation
the level of encryption required, just that it is required.

I've been looking through the TSM documentation on NDMP support in TSM. >From what I
can see, it looks like TSM only supports NDMP with a specific vendor's machines.
Specifically Network Appliance's servers. I hope that this is not true. We are using a
Mirapoint mail server. It only supports ND
Has anyone heard if there are any plans to increase the encryption
strength from 56 bit DES to at least 1024 bit? We have requirements
because of the HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability
Act) stuff. Thanks in advance.
