Oooops,
You're right... the command I use nightly is:
delete volhistory todate=today type=dbbackup
Should have looked before I typed.
Thanks
volhistory and devconfig. The db backup,
volhist.out and devconfig.out are created on the same day. I'm thinking
that this is sufficient, however I don't want to be bitten in the behind
should DR day ever come.
Thanks,
Jon

a bunch of tapes for scratch if I need them,
checking them in is a bit of a hassle, but I think that the library can
hold enough tapes to avoid that. I'm sure I'll find that out too...

want tapes returned.
Thanks much for all the help!

Hope this sparks an idea. To me, everything looks like it should. I
must be missing something obvious.

40% recaimable space to be reclaimed, right?
Is there anything else that could prevent reclaim from occurring? As
far as I can tell, I've set it up properly.
Big thank you to everyone who responded!

was wondering if perhaps I set the
reclaim threshold incorrectly. Looking at the actlog, it looks as if the
reclaim never happened.

pool, and reading
the admin guide led me to believe that since I was reclaiming offsite
volumes, lack of multiple mount points wouldn't affect reclaim.

will get some tapes
back from offsite. So far, I've made a copy storage pool, and run my
copy stg operations daily. So far, it doesn't look like I can reclaim
any volumes yet... I've started this about two weeks ago.
Thanks,
Jon

volume a status of scratch...
How can I get out of this mess? I'd like to simply delete and relabel
the volume, I have no need to preseve the db backup.
Thanks,
