Hey All,
I have a Windows TSM server running 6.3.4.300. This server has thousands of
damaged files from a power outage we had a few months ago. Is there any way to
delete these files or get rid of these files?
If they are damaged they can't be used for anything like a restore anyway.

All,
Our last DR was a disaster.
Right now, we do the TSM server to TSM server replication and it works fairly
well but, they have decide we need to fix something that is not broken.
So, the idea is to upgrade to SP 8.1 and install on a zLinux machine. Our
storage is on an IBM V7000, and wher

Quick question, is there a way within TDP for VE to get a generated report

I'm currently in a DR test, and the following scenario has raised an ugly

HELP PLEASE!
I have an EMC Ision that I'm backing up with TSM 7.1.10.
Using TSM I can restore a file back to the Isilon, with no problem.
My problem is, if I take the tape media that TSM used during the successful
restore to the Isilon from the primary pool and change it unavailable, TSM

What version are you running?

On a Linux system, is there a way to perform the restore command, where TSM
will show you all the files that are going to be restored for that command
but. you can cancel it out so, TSM does not restore them.
Our Linux Team calls this a sort of Restore Dry-Run.

Yesterday my TSM server crashed and lost the db.
Our TSM DB is approx. 1.5 TB on a windows system. I started a TSM DB RESTORE

Is there any way to know how long it will run or follow the progress other than

Rick,
How many channels do the DBA have set in RMAN to use for the backups. Also how
many max sessions are set up on the server node and resourceutilization in the
