Hi all,
TSM Server 5.1, Sun Solaris (tested also on W2K).
I defined two copies for each database volume (TSM mirroring) and a DB
Space Trigger.
When DB utilization reached the threshold for space expansion, TSM created
two mirrored copies of a new database volume in the same file system (as

dsmserv restore db also worked for me with automated libraries. The manual
states that "dsmserv loaddb" works only with manual libraries, but if you
have a valid devconfig file, dsmserv restore db should work ok.

Your log reports the following error:
BR372E File L:\oracle\SK2\saparch\SK2126010.001 was already reported as

This was fixed with TDP v 3.2.0.8 (APAR IC32365 - REDOLOGS REPORTED TWICE).

SINIX = Siemens Nixdorf Unix. It's no longer supported by Tivoli, latest
client software available is ADSM version 2 or version 3 (depending from
the specific hardware). I'm not sure it will work with recent TSM servers
releases.

Does anyone know if a SINIX TSM client works with TSM Server 4.1 or 4.2? If
not, which is the latest TSM server release I can use with SINIX client?

I had a similar problem (ANS1035S Options file
'/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin/dsm.opt' not found); user adm wasn't
authorized to read dsm.opt. Check file permissions.

Probably your tape drives need to be cleaned (see APAR IC27618). Try using
the CLEAN DRIVE command.

I run an online backup using TDP for R/3 and everything goes ok.
Once a week I run a script that stops the database and performs a whole
backup of the NT box at the file-system level. After having backed up about

Hi all,

several space reclamation processes start, using all drives in the library.
I'd like to keep two drives free for migration.
Is there a way of limiting the number of drives used by space reclamation?
I know there's a devic
