Hello all,
After flipping through manuals I stumbled upon this option and I am
curious how many other admins were using it and what
benefits\ramifications it may present? Is it an option usually left

Hello all,
How does TSM handle files that were excluded but now are being backed

Hello all,
Does anyone know how the versioning between TSM and Aix is set up or if
there is a Compatibility Matrix available anywhere. I can't seem to

Hello all,
We are debating switching our TSM environment from the use of option
files to client option sets and a few questions have been raised:
1) Can we use just one large option set that encompasses all possible
excludes and includes (since our includes are usually directory
specific)?
First end reclamation with the "update stgpool reclamation=100",
then cancel any active reclamation processes with the "cancel process
XXX" command and dismount any idle volumes with the "dismount vol
XX". Then I would verify that the tapes reclamation needs are all
in the library and are

Hello,

We've recently seen a jump in our DB % Utilization after we had been at

We too run this on a Win2000 server and have noticed slow fetch times. Just

Shawn,
To transfer the data to another volume use the move data command (move data

as long as you are not using collocation.
You can check in a new tape with that old label if you delete the old volume

Simple question but must be asked, are the tapes in the library? If so I
would expect to see the home element with a value. Also try to enter "query
vol XX f=d' and see what the tapes access state is. Just some
ideas...

Is there any reason that any one can think of that one shouldn't run

Hello all,
We have a SQL Backtrack process that invokes a TSM retrieval and has been

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on retention of the Volhist file. I
was once told that one does not need to keep any volhist longer than DB
backups. Also if it ok to purge this file regularly would one do it to all
or selectively by entering a type?
Thanks in advance,
