I have a customer trying to restore data from a client backed up in one NT
domain to a new NT domain. He is getting back all of the NTFS permissions
but the ownership is set to the user that is logged in and doing the
restores.
Is this correct and if so why?

aken place - or to put it another way the previous 31
versions that could originally be restored (after the rebinding and first
expiration) are gone. None of these files were deleted as they are Oracle
DB's and we all know what would have happened.
Any ideas?? Wild or reasonable
