Hi all!
I've noticed an apparent annomaly in the archive command:
I execute a dsmc archive of a certain number of files. In a given point

out how to backup /TST1/*/*.dbf, but I couldn't do it so far.

Hi everybody!
I'm trying to backup ORACLE databases using a script that uses an
ARCHIVE command to which a list of files to back up is given, so that
the final command is something like this:
dsmc archive -archmc=ORACLE_DIARIO -desc="TST11 OFFLINE ORACLE_DIARIO
20010216.153447" /oracle/rdbms/8.0
Hi all.
We recently included four new Magstar drives to an existent 3590 library
that is being used in our mainframe environment, to allow us use it also
with our TSM.
We connected and configured it and it seems to be ready for use, but I
cannot manage to check in any tape.

HI David,
Yes, I have the same library in both sites, same drives, same kind and number of tapes.

Hi Per,
TSM gives you a command (dsmmigundelete) that recreate the stub files if
they were deleted from your local file system. Having this command there
would be no need to backup the metadata. At least, it is as far as I
understand.

Hi all.
I have two TSM servers installed in AIX 4.3 boxes with Sun libraries in
different sites. In my HQ I take almost all the backups and I do a daily
copy pool to the remote site.
The local server (HQ) is TSM 3.7.2 and the remote one is 4.2.0.
The problem is that my local backup pool has 2.
Hi all.
Can anybody show me how to configure multiple nodes in a single box? I
know that it is possible but I couldn't find enough information in
guides or redbooks so far.
I have a 3.7.2 server in an AIX machine and 3.7.2 clients in AIX and
Solaris boxes.
What I want to do is to start more than

If I understand clearly what you mean, you need to grant access to your target
WS to access the files into your source WS. This can be done using comand line
or the menu Utilities of the client's GUI in your source node. Once you did
it, you can restore the data using a restore command with the op
Hi all.
A simple question.
Where can I find information about stanzas? (How to create them and how
to use them).
I'm searching in any handbook and redbook that I have but I only found a
few mentions, but not conclusive info.
Thanks to everybody.

Hi *SM'ers.
I have to handle PIT restores for 10 servers (SUN Solaris), for which I
could be asked to perform restores of point-in-time conditions existing
60 days ago.
Since I don't know how often the files in these servers are updated, I
understand that I have to define a Copy Group with a Vers
