Does anyone know if TSM server is going to be supported on ES 3? I know
that the server works with AS 2.1, and the client works with ES 3, I
just need the TSM driver to work with my kernel version 2.4.21-4.EL.
Any thoughts?
Thanks and great list!

Hi all,
I'm building a small lab environment for testing and training with TSM
using an old 43P and an Adic vls 4mm tape library. I've found that I'm
missing the tape magazine for the Adic. I've called Adic and looked
around the net and cannot find a replacement anywhere. Does anyone on

I have a question regarding Lan_free and db2 user exits. We are currently
running in an AIX environment (AIX 5.1 and a 5.1.7.1 TSM server and AIX 4.33
on the clients) with SAP on DB2. Last week we implemented lan-free backups
on one of our production servers and had great results with backup times.
Jason,
I too manage all of our AIX servers from OS X and have had no problem with
using VI on the Mac side. To get into insert mode you just hit 'I' and 'esc'
to get into command mode. But if you are using emacs or something else, I'm
just talking out my fanny.

goes again.

Thanks for your replies, but after a media refresh I still had a bad CD, and
so did my consultant who is helping with our upgrade and lanfree rollout. I
was finally able to get logged into the passport advantage system and pull
the filesets down that we needed. I'm not sure, but it seems that IBM

Hello all,
I was preparing to setup Lan-free on my new 5.1 server and found that my CD
is physically bad and I cannot access the files that I need (belive me, I've
tried it in every machine in sight.) Does anyone have any idea where I can
find the filesets that I need? I'm just looking for the stu

Mark,
For what it's worth, my boss cheaped out and got some non IBM tapes for our

an issue with those as well. I have now gone in and just started

All,
I am running TSM 4.2.1.8 on an AIX 4.3.3 server connected to a 3584 library
with 4 FC 3580 drives. Last week I was having some FC connectivity issues
and worked with IBM and Tivoli support for several hours trying to get
everthing worked out. I now have one tape drive that is offline and I ca

All,
I recently had to remove and redefine all of my Fiber Channel paths to my
ESS shark and to my 3584 library. Now my ww_names do not match up to the
device names (eg. /dev/rmt0 was x2601, now it's xx2603). Does anyone
know how to specify which ww_name points to a particular device name?
Hello All,
I have recently taken over the TSM admin duties in a small AIX 4.3.3
environment and have little experience with Tivoli and how to manage our
3584 library. Yesterday I had one of our four tape drives go offline, and
errpt indicates a disk drive error. Now I have a tape that has gone

rmal.
BTW, the server is AIX 4.3.3 running TSM 4.2 and the clients again are Win2k
servers with either 4.x or 5.x versions of the client.
Thanks
