I was hoping there was a way to determine if we should even try to do a migration, to
save lots of looping and sleeps in our shell scripts..
Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Hi,
Does anyone know the limit of a TSM Database Backup To A DISK File?
We are running TSM 5.1 on AIX 5.1, with JFS file systems
I could not find a reference to the limit of the backup file size?
If anyone has a manual/release note reference that would be appreciated...
Thanks,
Steve
It has been a while, but you probably need to modifiy /kernel/drv/st.conf,
to make sure the defintions for the addl drive targets are defined...
the reboot -- -r

However, anyone correct me...
If you want to ever have lanless client or > 1 TSM Server sharing drives on the single
L700 you will want Gresham EDT-DistribuTape + ACSLS to do so...
If you every "think" you need to do so, it may be worth doing so... and put the above
plumbing in up front.

security event and handle accordingly?
We are trying to get a better understanding on how to manipulate the c structures...
Any help or pointers would be appreciated..

erly.
If anyone could point me in the right direction .. we have not had a chance to test
this, but wanted to get a sense if we are out in left field.
Thanks,
Steve Taylor
Scheduler if successful, or non-zero return code
if the backup did not complete.
Does anyone have any tips on how to do this, or better yet any sample scripts
I did some digging on the site, but could not find anything
Any tips/suggestions/red flags would be appreciated..
Thanks,
Steve
Yes,
we have a big brother external script to monitor it...
as well, have a tsm activity log scrapper that generates syslog messages
that we monitor with Big Brother ...
if you look on http://www.deadcat.net .. there are a few TSM monitoring
scripts for bb...
Regards,
Steve
