Hello,
Having problems with my Dell Powervault 136T LTO
library. I upgraded the library firmware from 2.73 to
2.88, and now TSM doesn't see the library as such.
Seems to me that this might be a TSM Device driver
issue, but I'm not sure how to fix.
Running TSM 4.2.2.2 on Win2K server. Was workin
Thanx for all the replies.
Upgrade from 3.7.3 to 3.7.4 worked fine.
Problem seems to have gone away...
Keeping my fingers crossed...

Thanx for the reply from yourself and Mike.
Downloading fix now. Noticed that the fix said the
problem normally occurs down an upgrade of TSM.
I did not upgrade - it just started happening...
Is the same thing that happened to yourself?
Just curious

Hi,
Running TSM 3.7.2 server on a NT box attached to a
Magstar MP 3570 library.
Ran into a cleaning tape problem on the library which
prompted this question - are there any NT utilities to
query the status of the 3570 library? I'm thinking
something similar to the MTLIB utility on AIX and the

Same thing happened to a number of our TDP schedulers
on the cluster. Re-installing only worked part of the
time, and in a clustered environment, really a pain.
To truly fix it, I ended up modifying the dsm.opt file
and set PASSWORDACCESS PROMPT.
I then schedule a command line backup and set the

We're running TSM Server 3.7.2 and Client of 3.7.x.
We've installed 2 small NT 4.0 MSCS cluster servers
with shared disks (just external RAIDs). Installed
b/a client and scheduler services with no problem and
fail-over works.
We just installed a big NT 4.0 MSCS server, with the

We have been using the Web Interface (IE5) to
administer our TSM 3.7.3 servers for the past little
while - annoying, but it appears to work.
However, I just implemented a SQL script that had a
comparision in it, much like this:

Hi,
Using the TSM B/A 3.7.2.x client GUI, is there a log
file that gets generated that tracks what is actually
restored?
We are trying to do some disaster recovery of some NT
4.0 servers.
When restoring the system partition of an NT server, a
number of files are locked (in System32) and not
