reading the installation requirements, the following software must be
installed on both the production system and the backup system:
* TSM Backup/Archive Client
* TDP for R/3 or Oracle
* TSM API
* TSM Server
what if the backup system is (also) the TSM Server !
Guys
this is not really a TSM matter but perhaps someone could help me out here:
At the moment we have a concerning situation on a ESS. When we change
ESS-ports for an AIX-server without touching the assigned LUN's of the

Equipment involved:
IBM 2108-G07 SAN Data Gateway (1)
IBM 2109-S16 SAN Switch (2)
IBM 3584 LTO Library (1 Library with 4 SCSI Drives(not daisy-chained))
TSM 4.1.3 on AIX 4.3.3 server: all device drivers are at latest level.

/dev/rmt1, /dev/rmt7, /dev/rmt8, and /dev/rmt14". Don't forget to use the
correct element numbers when you define the devices in TSM.

Hi
We have a SAN Data Gateway 2108-G07 installed.
An AIX server is connected through a brocade SAN switch to the SAN Data
Gateway. Connected to this Gateway are 4 LTO devices.
We seem to have installed the 2108-G07 ok , but nevertheless the LTO drives
can not be "seen" from the AIX server !!?
