We've looked at this but decided on nfs/cifs backups as ndmp backups go
to storage pools with type NETAPPDUMP, which you can't reclaim, copy
(offsite), etc, etc.
Also, i suspect tsm doesn't support DAR (direct access restore - a
somewhat controversial ndmp feature :-) which allows you to restore p
mount requests etc.

Are they scheduled from the same node - maybe the one backup is waiting
for the other scheduled one to complete? Is it lan-free? Also, check
that accounting is switched on and check the dsmaccnt.log file - it will

We have the exact same situation. What's more the event keeps on missing
(because one is in progress ?), and, in this particular case the actual
start date is 7 days after the scheduled start date, even though the
startup window is 1 hour.
Restarting the client appeared to help get the sched
