Re: TDP Domino restores with private folders

Yep, but probably not how you'd like. As private folders are part of the database, you need to restore the whole database to get to the private folders. This may or may not be what you are expecting... as you then need to transfer the private folders from the restored DB to another DB. /gjs

Id there a "Retry delay" setting?

Once a every mow and again (every 4 - 6 weeks), I have a couple of backups that happen while the application may still be using the data and they fail (can not even open the file for reading - so I can't use the SHAREDYNAMIC option), which I agree with. But if I could get TSM to retry in 5 minutes

Hey Andrew, how about we all put our request in this forum and you consolidate them to your management? I think my voice has a bit more of chance to be heard via this path then making a request to my IBM Partner account rep. So I vote we have the option to NOT backup SYSTEMOBJECTS (the *.exe's, *

How does the Windows NT client (v4.2) open files for backing up? Last night we had a situation that TSM was backing up a file and another application wanted to open that file for read/writing and the second app crashed. I thought TSM open the file so that it allows all other processes to also ope

Client licensing

We are thinking about using TSM to backup our clients and have been told that it will cost over AU$550 per client (about US$280). This seems extreme, as it would be much cheaper to purchase a personal backup system (Tape/CD-RW/Zip/etc) for our 700 machines than pay the price of a server and it's h
