Has your CE installed the new drive clips? That helps with the dismount
problems.

What is the normal clean frequency for LTO-1 drives in a 3584? I have the
drives defined to TSM with a cleaning frequency of "none", and the 3584
library set to Automatic cleaning, per recommendations. Yet, when I use

I had the same problem with TSM 3.7.0 and AIX 4.3.3. In our environment we
observed that after 900 GB of data processing by the tape drive itused to
flash CLEAN message but TSM never cleaned automatically. So I have set the
cleaning frequency parameter as 900 instead of ASNEEDED and now TSM is
4.8230
