Hi, I got a generic question for you all. How do you keep in track of your Database Backup Tape Volumes? I know you can see in Volhist the label of the volume, but how do you keep in track to get it back from the vault? Do you have a script or do you call it back one day in advance? Please,

If you eject the tapes with either TSM DRM or Autovault (and I think TSM Manager as well), they do all the tracking/vaulting for you. With DRM, you set DRMDBBACKUPEXPIREDAYS to xx, the number of days you want to retain the DB backup before it expires. Then DRM expires the DB backup after xx
