MAX_IO_SIZE and Oracle

Hi Everybody,

In order to improve performance of Oracle backups using TSM, I've read of a 
MAX_IO_SIZE parameter for other OS versions i.e. Solaris, Linux. Does such a 
parameter exist in AIX ? If not, is there an equivalent ?
