Hello Greg
I restore the backupset connected to a server.
1 I generate the backupset on the large central TSM server.
2 I define the netware node , the backupset on a previously installed small TSM
server
3 I restore the backupset
restore backupset bksetibe01.1025 volu=exp001,exp002 -loc=server

How does the Netware client mount the tape for the backupset restore. Could
you please give me an example the restore command you use.
In testing I did with backupsets there was no way for a Netware client to
do a local restore with a backupset on tape - has something changed
recently.
I'
the backupset is written on a DAT DDS3 tape for testing, if it works (I am
waiting for IBM support) DLT tapes will
be used.

Hello
For Disaster Recovery purposes , to speed up restores from scratch, I try to
use backupsets.
It works for AIX and Solaris.
For Netware (80 percent of the storage use on my TSM server), the restore
backupset abends after 30s and about 50 files restored
