I've been working on setting up TDP for Domino on Solaris 10 (SPARC).
On our test box, domdsmc 5.3.0.0 dumps core reliably at the end of each run.
After installing the 5.3.0.5 ptf, I have a workaround that keeps the coredump
from recurring. (Comment out the "alias domdsmc=domdsmc_node" line in t

They are completely managed by Domino.
By the way, the Domino server needs to be
able to open each database, otherwise it
cannot manage (back up, compact, etc.) the database.

restore of archivelogs uses 15-20% of the LPAR cpu and they are already CPU
constrained.
I know that the B/A client cannot restore cross-platform, but what about TDP
data? As long at the Domino server versions are compatable, and the TSM
API/TDP are the same, can they restore TDP Domino data

They should not be related events at all.
I think you may need to look a little closer at
the Domino server log to find the culprit.
For TDP for Domino...
If the databases are logged databases, they will not be
backed up by TDP for Domino "incremental" unless the
database instance ID has

servers. Once with the baclient backup and once with TDP Domino. Both backed
up about 350+ nsf files each. So obviously the databases changed and both
backups saw that.
We turned off the standard backups by excluding the nsf files in the dsm.opt
for the baclient only. None have been backed u
