Has anyone ever lost a novell server?
One of our Netware/Novell Clients lost a server is there a specific
procedure that some has used i.e a ASR type procedure for Novell? Or
is it just a re-install of the Netware O.S. then re-install the Tivoli
Client , Then perform the restores?

Hi Tim,
I have heard references about that, but I don't really know what it is? Is
there a tool to create a 'custom' Windows 2003 O/S install CD?
Jim,
I don't know if there's a one stop way to create a custom CD ... the
process is called 'slipstream'-ing
do a google search for 'Slipstream Windows" and you should be able to
find a few hits about it
I'm a unix guy, not a windows guru, so I can't really tell you how to do
it, but http://unat

Jim,
Make sure the CD you created has the proper NIC driver for the
bladecenter server, and make sure you have DHCP.
We couldn't use the TSM+ASR method because security policy prohibited us
from using DHCP in certain networks, so we're looking into using BartPE

Hello Group,
Has anyone successfully ASR restored an IBM bladecenter server blade? I am
all the way to starting the first restore after the Tivoli client has
already been silently installed, but network services have not started and I
can find no literature on IBM or MS sites?
Thankfully, there
During an ASR restore with TSM, I press F6 to be able to load
the appropiate disk device drivers from diskette and I get this
error.
File txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected error (4096) at line 1896 in

Any ideas

You download the copy from the web or ftp site. Then you rename it and burn
that to the CD. Basically don't extract it.

Yes, as a matter of fact a DHCP server must be available during the ASR-based restore
process. If one is not available, the restore will fail. This information is in the
documentation.

The desktop.ini files in the locations you indicate should have been
restored with the "hidden" attribute set. As Andy Raibeck indicated
there's an APAR in the works for that problem. You don't need to delete
the files. You can hide the files again via attrib +h or the properties
tab of the expl
