We are in the process of planning the next TSM server upgrade. Currently, we have one physical server (RS6k P670, 4 procs, 16GB memory), and are trying to decide if we should split TSM onto 2 servers, or leave it on one physical server (my pref is one physical server). I would like to hear pros and cons, and what decisions have been made by other people. Here is a summary of our TSM site:
3 TSM instances 33GB, 48GB, and 40GB Databases 1.25TB backup per night 28TB, 13TB, and 15TB managed (one copy, double for onsite and offsite) 113M, 124M, 140M files managed
