Is anyone using this methodology for bare-metal restore of AIX images?

Sysback v6.1
TSM v5.5
Virtualized lpars on Power6 550s
Backing up to TSM, all the querying, etc. works like a champ.
Booting from CD appears to work successfully (after doing things like
linking unix_64 to unix_mp

image appear except that /usr/lib/instl/libinst_mkworkdir isn't found,

I am just now testing the TSM version of SYSBACK. I created a separate
dsm.opt in the api directory with a separate client name. I defined the
device and initiated the SYSBACK.
It has initiated a sysback but doing a q vol f=d I noticed the archive
group selected is not the default archive group.

TSM V 5 SYSBACK and IBM V 5 SYSBACK
In the past year we had to upgrade (pay) to get our SYSBACK licenses to
V 5. Since then Tivoli began marketing SYSBACK that integrates with TSM.
We were told you can't convert from IBM to Tivoli SYSBACK licenses. Has
anyone else had this experience.
