The server was decommisioned 5 years ago.
I don't know the hardware.
Library was LTO SCSI with two drives.
TSM server and client were 5.2.0.0.
I don't know if there is a database on tape,
there is no devconfig and volhistory.
Is it

Hi Wojciech. You need (obviously) to have hardware that can read the tapes.
Then install a TSM server at 5.2.0.0 on the same OS platform as the
original server. You will need to recreate the device configuration file.
Then run dsmserv display dbbackupvolume against each tape, capture/print

Without using addtional software, just AIX, how does one create a boot
CD that contains all the necessary info to restore a server using a
mksysb tape?
I

Hi,
I have a TSM/AIX server. TSM server database copy1 volumes are on filesystem A.
TSM server database copy2 volumes are on filesystem B. If I loose filesystemA,
can I restart TSM server with copy2 volumes? How can I restart/recover TSM

I have looked in the W2K Admin Guide for a procedure, but failed to find

Does anyone have a procedure to move your recovery logs?
Here is what I was thinking of doing:

Hi
TSM server recovery logs?
No need to halt the server on W2K
1) define logvol X:\newlogvol.ext formatsize= (were XXX is MB and
equal/Larger to the log you want to delete)
2) delete logvol X:\oldlogvol.ext

If you were given a TSM DB backup created from one platform, is it possible
to restore to another platform?
e.g. TSM 4.2.1 running on Solaris 2.8..
could you take the DB backup of that and restore to:
TSM 4.2.1 running on win2k?
If not is there a way to move a TSM server from one platform to
