I think some clients are already configured to use wbadmin for this
purpose?

I'm glad you brought that up. I asked a lot of people that question, discussed
it at our local user group, and we've done some testing. Other people may have
different opinions, as the entire VMWare world is a very quickly evolving
moving
file-level backups with TSM, to exclude systemstate. Greatly reduces the
traffic in the TSM DB, and eliminates all those pesky Windows backup failures
due to VSS errors.
(Ooh, I hope this generates a LOT of commentary...)

For years we've been backing up windows systemstate, and until recent
times this was a full backup of the whole schmiel every night, but we
were told this is desparately important and must be done.
How is systemstate backup handled in the VCB environment

When I set RESOURCEUTILIZATION 10, I get 8 sessions, but 4 are producers and
4 are consumers - so how did you get 8 tape mounts?

Greetings,
We are running TSM 5.4.3.0 server on AIX 5.3ML5. The Lan-free VCB
proxy is running TSM client 5.5.0.6.
We are getting an unexpected result with our VMWare Consolidated
Backups. We are just starting to run these in volume, and we are
getting frequent messages:
09/10/08 00:02
There should be a README-tsm.html file in the Consolidated Backup
Integration Module for TSM from VMWare.
