I am burning through many API units trying to fetch ID's using the criterion service... I have several thousand words already in Adwords, and when each one of them is clicked for the first time, it is added in a local database that stores info about that word.
The issue is that there is no way to automatically insert the keyword ID via passing URL parameters, and it must be fetched later as I understand (using getCriteriaService or by reporting). It would be nice to be able to get criteria by searching for keywords instead of looping through an entire ad group to find a keyword. I do not see an update to this on the new 2009 version either.
