Thank you for the feedback regarding selectors.  We understand the
importance of filtering by status and other properties, and we are
working to improve and expand on the current options.  If there are
other filtering options you need or want please let us know.

In regards to the common base class, that might prove problematic.
The selector model is used outside of the Campaign Management
services, and those fields would not be appropriate in all cases ( see
InfoSelector: 
http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/v2009/docs/reference/InfoService.InfoSelector.html
).
