We are running out of 450D’s and are still not happy with the 450b high gain.
Not sure what we are going to do once the D’s run out.

It’s no secret Ken… just not coming soon enough! I would like to get it out
sooner, and don’t want to hype it up, because it’s not going to be available
until Q4.
Rest assured, it is coming though.

That would work fine, though I’m always reluctant to put fusing at the top of a
tower. It’s not going to protect much of anything and you are going to be
climbing to replace it, probably in shitty weather.
The point of fusing is to protect the wiring from melting and creating fires.
It’s not
We use this for splitting out DC power to various devices at some sites:

DC up the tower goes into the PDU.. 1 channel goes to the EdgePoint, other
channels go to radios that support/need direct DC 48V (Baicells, etc).

Right, the problem with rackmount IMO is depth. You need a deeper
cabinet and for some reason that drives cost up. Does the Packetflux
PDU accept -48 now? Used to be it didn't and that was a show stopper for
me. Actually I ended up connecting the single relay on the Site Monitor
to the reset
We use a number of the Altech CBI485A power supplies for this application -
48VDC 5A UPS for external batteries. It has the same monitoring drawback as
the other solutions - just dry contacts so we end up adding packetflux gear to
monitor it. It works fine but a true rectifier shelf is a far
At the top of the tower/roof could I use a simple auto fuse box and fuses like
this to split out 48v 5A to various radios?
And maybe use a 2A fuse for each radio that is running 1.5A and a 5A fuse for
say the UBNT EP-S16 unit at less than 5A draw?

For this we use a PacketFlux SiteMonitor. The contacts on the Traco
BCM/BCMU connect to the "switch" input on the SiteMonitor to let us know
when the site loses AC power. When we require switched loads, we add a
PacketFlux 5Channel PDU which can be monitored/controlled remotely via the
SiteMonito
Oh, nice, I hadn't noticed that yet. I just saw it driving by on 88.

I prefer to use one shunt in the return/ground/common battery connection. That
way you can monitor charge and discharge with only one shunt and a single ended
non isolated connection. If you have isolated telemetry inputs, you can do the
same thing on the positive side. And if you want to put
When you do a setup with the industrial Meanwell, Traco, etc stuff one
thing to keep in mind is monitoring. With that class of equipment
you'll have dry contacts and you'll need something to monitor those for
alarms. You'll probably want a current shunt and then either a set of

A whole bunch of new microwave dishes on the brand new tower at CME as well.
I'd say within the last 90 days, probably less than 60 days.
That said, they like to send the same data over many paths. First to receive

Still factory default, manual fw, factory default. If its a bug, it gets
past it.
Can you packet capture and see if its a bunch of retransmits?
Id be curious if netgear could pull logs to see if its sending them the
