I think I used an isolation transformer that limited the energy to 45 VA or
something like that.

I was hoping not to. Had to add a repeater to an existing install for
the customer to pickup another building. Cat5 goes through an
underground conduit and then 150' through a shop building.

With one of my POE inserters, you could tie all the wires together for powering
and use ground return to max the current and minimize the voltage drop.

Din rail. Almost always just have the rail on plywood or whatever. Need
these parts:
Meanwell AD-155B
Meanwell DRL-02
Meanwell DRP-03
Three M3x6 screws and two M4x6 screws
There are no desks at tower sites, otherwise it would go right next to the
under desk 1500w space heater.

What type of enclosure are you putting it in? I'm guessing it's not
just laying on the floor under someone's desk.

Meanwell AD-155B for this exact use case. Works in almost every case.
We found one situation where it wouldn't work. I'm not sure why. We moved
to a Netpower 16p and heavier wire the problems went away.

I'm certain that the Meanwell will work.

might be easier to run a 48v POE and then use one of the mikrotik
RBGPOE-CON-HP 802.3at to 24v converters.

I'm trying to run a Mikrotik Powerbox via POE to power a Force300 and an
EPMP1000 GPS Radio. Given the length of the cable run, the 24V supply
that comes with the Mikrotik is only 20V at the device, and won't power
up the 1000 AP. It's all running with the Cambium 30V POE injector from
